Sole survivor of deadly mushroom lunch g
to a courtroom in Australia now where
the toxic mushroom killer Erin Patterson
came face tof face today with her
victim's relatives as she awaits
sentencing for a triple murder that has
made headlines around the world. The
sole survivor of the poisoning told the
Supreme Court in Victoria he only feels
half alive after the death of his wife.

Outside a Melbourne courtroom, the
world's news cameras watched Aaron
Patterson head in to face a man she
tried to kill. Inside the sole survivor
of the death cap lunch, Ian Wilkinson
said he forgave the triple murderer and
bore her no ill will, shocking those in
the courtroom.

um was just incredible and I think that
blew everybody away. In his victim
impact statement, the 71-year-old pastor
said he feels only half alive since his
wife Heather died after eating the beef
Wellington laced with poisonous
mushrooms. He also described how he'd
lost his two closest friends when Don
and Gail Patterson were killed by their
daughter-in-law. Ian Wilkinson's victim
impact statement is one of seven the
court and Aaron Patterson heard. At
times he broke down as he described the
effects her actions had on his family.

couldn't imagine how a mother could do
what she has done to her children as two
of the people she murdered in this fatal
mushroom lunch were actually her
children's grandparents. Erin Patterson
will be sentenced on September 8th and
faces spending the rest of her life
